On getting to know Nicola it became clear that the methods she had used in the past to get into shape where not ideal (lots of exercise and very little food!)
All though this method may work it is definitely not the healthiest or most sustainable approach
We worked to create a much healthier balance of effective exercise and appropriate nutrition to get great results that could be sustained

A brief introduction
Nicola, 44 years old.
Why did you start personal training?
I wanted to get toned and lean as well as build muscle strength. I had particular areas that I wanted more definition (shoulders, back and hamstrings) which I wanted Joey to help me develop.
Why did you pick Joey as a trainer?
From observing Joey training his other clients, I could see that he was focused, committed and worked at a good pace, without too much talking (I prefer to work efficiently, quickly and not talk too much).
Joey has obviously personally trained himself for photoshoots, which in my experience, usually means an excellent knowledge of both effective and correct training methods and also of nutrition. Bodybuilders, female and male, look good and know exactly how to get results.
What have you achieved from training with Joey?
Joey has not only helped me reach my goals but he has also instilled in me a healthier, more balanced approach to eating and training. I no longer under-eat and over-train (which used to leave me exhausted and grumpy!).
How did Joey help you as a trainer?
Joey has passed on to me his considerable knowledge and experience of training. I find I train more effectively, efficiently and concentrate on muscle awareness to ensure the correct muscle growth. I do not just go through the motions haphazardly, in the hope that something will work!
I enjoy and respect that Joey can always intelligently explain ‘why’we were training in a particular way and what benefits/results I would achieve (I like facts and like to understand why and what I’m doing).
If someone was thinking of training with Joey what would you tell them?
I’m incredibly particular about who I train with as I’ve worked with a couple of excellent trainers in the past.
Professionally Joey is honestly in a whole other league and is refreshingly passionate and knowledgeable as a personal trainer.
You will love the sessions, despite all the hard work and he will always encourage you to never give up! I feel happier, calmer, stronger and fitter than I have for very long time.
