SUMMARY

  • Lisa started coaching to not have to worry about her own training, get her love for it again and learn some up to date information behind exercises and cues given.

  • We dominantly worked on core, hamstrings and glutes to get high amounts of tension on the local muscle groups. From this we worked on metabolic training focusing on an active range for exercises (muscle under constant ‘significant’ tension) putting the muscles under stress in a way which expends a lot of calories, safe and doesn’t cause much trauma on the working muscle. 

  • Lisa became stronger systemically and more stable from the time working together allowing her to work harder during self-led training as well as aiding her work and lifestyle.

Why did you start personal training?

I needed the motivation to get back into doing some exercise that wasn't yoga. I've over trained so much over the years that my body felt pretty broken and exhausted from exercise so had completely fallen out of love with it.

 

What have you achieved through personal training? What is different about you now? 

Belief in myself, understanding the strengths and weaknesses in different parts of my body and above all Dan helped me to enjoy training again.

 

How has your coach helped you with your goals?

I’m a personal trainer myself as well as a yoga teacher, I have been doing these for 14 years but Dans up to date knowledge of the body and different ways to exercise and challenge myself absolutely blew me away. His love for what he does shines through, not only is he ALWAYS motivating he's also a genuine and kind person doing whatever he can to attend to my needs each session but at the same time pushing and challenging me without making me feel I am being brutalised.

 

How would you describe/summarise your experience working with your coach?

My entire training journey with Dan has been incredible, he helped me to regain my love for exercise plus I feel stronger, leaner and motivated. I would recommend Dan to all my friends/family and clients if they are looking for THE BEST trainer that actually cares about your physical and emotional needs.
